South
Korea is the mountainous tip of the Korean
Peninsula surrounded by semi-tropical islands. Korea’s land mainly consists of mountains and rivers. The highest point in
South Korea is Hallasan Mountain, which makes up Korea’s
most beautiful island, Chejudo. South Korea
has ideal temperatures with balmy springs, warm summers, refreshing falls, and cold winters. Korea
is less prone to typhoons compared to Japan, Taiwan, and China, but does receive a few in August. The geography influences
many parts of Korean lifestyle, including food and many of the traditions.
